Based on my personal experiences

We had the incredible opportunity to live in the beautiful city of Hangzhou, China from 2007 to 2009. China is such a vast and captivating country, rich in history, culture, and natural wonders. During our time there, we traveled as much as we could. Where did we go? Well, pretty much everywhere we could!

Kína, Jünnan

Yunnan is one of China's most beautiful provinces, boasting countless UNESCO-listed attractions and a diverse ethnic population. Highlights include the Tiger Leaping Gorge, Yulong, Lijiang, Shangri-La and the small Potala Palace, which are all worth a visit.

Rainbow mountain, Zhangye, China

In many ways, one of our most interesting trips led us to the city of Zhangye in the northwestern part of Gansu Province. This was our first long-distance journey on the super-fast train, and we arrived in a city with a strange Christmas atmosphere. But the greatest experience was the Rainbow Mountain, Bingguo Canyon and Pingshan Canyon.

Kína, Zhangjiajie glass bridge

Zhangjiajie is sure to be familiar to any Avatar fans, being the site of the floating mountains that feature in the film. Attractions include China's famous glass bridge, the Tianmen mountain, the Bailong elevator Zhangjiajie Grand canyon, the Baofeng Lake, and the Heavenly Gate.

Huashan, China, Hszian

If you're in Xi'an, you have to visit the Terracotta Army. But Xi'an is also the cradle of Chinese culture; it was the capital of the country and the eastern terminal of the Silk Road. An interesting fact is that one of the largest Chinese Muslim communities also lives here. And it is only an hour's drive from Hua-shan, one of China's sacred mountains.

Panda, Chengdu

Sichuan is famous around the world for its cuisine and pandas. In addition to the Chengdu giant panda breeding research center, Sichuan Opera, Mount Qingcheng, the Dujiangyan irrigation system, the Giant Buddha in Leshan have also been recognized by UNESCO.

Kína, Suzhou

I only had five hours in Suzhou, so I tried to make the most of it. The city is famous for its gardens, the oldest of which have been added to the UNESCO List. In addition to its garden architecture, the city is called the Venice of the East or Paradise on Earth because of the network of canals and the 310 bridges that connect them.

China, Forbidden City, Beijing

Beijing is home to many cultural treasures, including the Forbidden City, the Summer Palace, Tiananmen Square and the Temple of Heaven. The city is also famous for its street food, which can sometimes be rather bizarre. However, most people come here to see the Great Wall.

China, Luoyang, Longmen grottoes

The Longmen Grottoes - Buddhist rock temples -, are located in Luoyang, Henan Province). But there is also a glass bridge and a waterfall here. Not far from the city, we arrive at the cradle of kung fu, where we can see an authentic demonstration. Of course, the pagodas and impressive hiking trails are not to be missed here either.
