"Viewing Fish at the Flower Pond" or "Viewing Fish at the Flower Pool" is one of the 10 outstanding attractions of West Lake.
To me, this place is like every other attraction here in Hangzhou; it reminds me of an Easter egg hunt in the grass: you find one, and another one pops up. This isn’t just a pond with red carp, but a themed area of about 20 hectares consisting of: bridges, a flower dock, a peony garden,  meadows and a large green lawn.

When planning your visit to the Flower Pond, be prepared to stumble upon one beautiful sight after another along the way sights that will distract you and then lead you back to your original destination. That’s how a walk meant to take a couple of hours turns into a half-day excursion.
